WELLINGTONIANS TREATED TO NIGHT NOODLE MARKET

Following on from its success in Christchurch, the iconic Night Noodle Market will be hitting Wellington's waterfront this June.

The hawker-style market will showcase authentic Asian cuisine for five nights.

Wellingtonians will be spoilt for choice with 15 local and international food stalls on offer, including renowned Melbourne-based Hoy Pinoy.

The chef behind Hoy Pinoy, James Meehan, will introduce locals to his signature Filipino barbeque skewers. There are two flavours available, chicken and pork belly, both served with rice and achara.

Resident Wellington eateries including Dumpling'd, NAM D and Monsoon Poon will have their top dishes on offer, tantalising the taste buds of all market-goers.

Monsoon Poon co-owner, Mike Egan said it's really encouraging to see the Night Noodle Markets heading to the city where there is already a strong food scene ready to embrace it.
"It's a no-brainer," said Egan. "Even in the middle of winter, Wellingtonians will put on their jackets and head down to sample what's on offer. At Monsoon Poon, we're really excited to take care of our regulars as well as introduce ourselves to new customers. One of the dishes we'll be serving is a South East Asian shrimp taco in a roti with smoked chilli sauce, avocado and coriander."

Entry is free and food prices range from $5 to $15.
