TOI TOI WINES INTRODUCES NEW ROSÉ

Toi Toi has introduced a new wine with a very personal story, Toi Toi Sara’s Marlborough Rosé 2017, a wine created to celebrate co-owner Sara Joyce’s love of Rosé.

Rosé is fast becoming one of New Zealand’s favourite wines with Foodstuffs saying Rosé sales in its stores have soared 150 per cent since 2014.

Sara loves Provencal style Rosé, which was her “go to”, in her early 20’s before she moved to New Zealand from the UK. “I always thought NZ could make a wonderful Rosé with its cool climate varieties and I’m delighted that the Toi Toi team have been able to create a delicious Marlborough Rosé that’s even better than what I remember from my youth.”

Marlborough Wine Ltd, with Toi Toi as its major brand, commenced in 2006 and is owned by Kevin and Sara Joyce and their family. It has grown into one of New Zealand’s top 25 wineries and has become recognised globally for its Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and Central Otago Pinot Noir.

Toi Toi winemaker, Tim Adams, said Toi Toi Sara’s Marlborough Rose 2017 is a lovely salmon pink in the glass with beautiful aromas of fresh raspberries, mandarin and lime blossom. The flavour abounds with summer berry fruits, orange citrus with a hint of yellow plum showing through. It is mouth filling with a sweet end palate, great length and finishes clean and crisp.

Sara says, “I am thrilled that Tim crafted this fantastic Rosé, which has evoked wonderful memories,” said Sara. “I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.”  She suggests serving Rosé chilled for lunch with her Strawberry Salad, but added that Rosé is delicious at any occasion or time when wine is called for.
