The Wine Auction Room’s next live auction selling 74-year-old bottle of wine

Bidding for a 1945 Chateau Latour will start at $4000 at this month’s live auction in Auckland. Previous sales of this wine had reached as much as $9000 internationally. This is The Wine Auction Room’s first live auction, and it will be held at Glengarry, Victoria Park on March the 13th.

The Wine Auction Room was established by wine maven Reece Warren last year and has held successful online auctions until now. Warren said, “We have sourced some exceptional wines from a wide range of vendors across the country, and they are sure to be of great interest to all wine connoisseurs. The star of the show is undoubtedly the $4000 bottle of 1945 Chateau Latour, a dynamic French red wine from one of the best vineyards in the world.”

Despite the hefty price of the headliner, this even has wines catered to all budgets. “Our first live auction really does include wine for everyone, whatever your taste or budget. We’d like to invite people to come along and look for something delicious to buy as well as enjoy an entertaining night out.”

The Wine Auction Room also invites people to view the live stream, order online, or telephone bids in.
