Today saw the opening of the Tauranga Crossing mall, the new home of over 45 stores. This is the second part of a $150 million development in Tauriko.
Tauranga Crossing chief executive Steve Lewis said that he was very excited to be opening Tauranga’s newest mall. “This is a culmination of many hours of hard work by many people. It is great to be opening finally.” The opening of the new mall opens up 1000 jobs.
Councillor Leanne Brown, said, “It’s a game-changer for retail and hospitality for Tauranga. Our research shows locals prefer to shop in their locals.”
Some of the new restaurants include Bird on a Wire, Mad Mex, Ramen Ippin, The Observatory, and Epiphany Café.
