The Flying Pig Café, a hard-to-miss venue along the Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail has been put up for sale. The café, along with accommodation has been operating for a number of years but benefitted greatly from the opening of the Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail in 2014.
The last few years have been turbulent for the iconic café, as early 2017 saw the cessation of trading while one of the owners battled health problems. Since then, the café has remained inactive. However, now, the bright pink building in Duntroon is up for grabs through Bayleys of Canterbury.
Kate Mullins, hospitality sales specialist, said, “When functioning at its peak, The Flying Pig Café business operated from Labour weekend in October through to Easter, and was licensed to serve 30 customers inside and an additional 25 patrons outside.” With The Flying Pig’s prime location, it is only a matter of time before it is up and running again.
