Table reservation system, ResDiary, partners with Google

Online reservation system, ResDiary, has announced a brand new integration with Google. ResDiary and Reserve with Google will allow venues that are ResDiary users to process dining reservations directly from Google Search or Maps.

ResDiary is one of the few systems in the world offering this opportunity free of charge to restaurants.

Launching in June, the functionality will link directly to restaurants’ live diaries, and follow all their pre-set rules and availability. This allows operators to take auto-confirmed Google bookings, 24 hours a day.

Millions of diners in New Zealand perform location-based searches on Google every month, meaning this partnership will give venues visibility to a fresh stream of customers.

This feature has been launched in response to the growing demand for ease-of-use by consumers, with ResDiary reporting that online reservations have doubled for their venues in the last five years. Diners no longer want to pick up the phone and make a reservation, or walk to the venue: they want to make a booking, preferably on their mobile, with a few taps, and have it instantly confirmed.

ResDiary currently supplies notable venues like Cocoro, Kazuya, and Pescatore and believes Reserve with Google will have great benefits for their customers, from fine dining restaurants to neighbourhood cafes.

Ryan Hollis, ResDiary’s Country Director for New Zealand, said: “This is a really exciting time for New Zealand’s restaurateurs, and we’re really proud to be offering this fantastic service free to ResDiary customers. Google is the world’s most popular search engine, and our partnership will be a great boost to our users. Venues will gain direct booking access to the millions of tourists, business people, and locals who research restaurants in New Zealand online every month.”
