Mourners at a funeral were taken to hospital after a restaurant in Germany accidentally served a cake laced with hash. The cake was allegedly made by the daughter of one of the restaurant workers, who had intended on taking the cake elsewhere. However, without consulting the daughter, the restaurant worker took the cake from the freezer and served it to the funeral procession.
Thirteen mourners, including the widow, reported feeling dizzy and nauseous. One woman even had to be taken to the hospital during the funeral.
The daughter who baked the cake is currently under investigation and faces charges relating to negligence, disturbing a funeral, and violating Germany’s narcotics law.
