SIAL CHINA 2018 WELCOMES GUESTS

SIAL China, Asia's largest food innovation exhibition opened today at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. At the Opening Ceremony, distinguished guests, including Foreign Ministers, Ambassadors, Consul Generals, and Representatives from 25 Countries such as Argentina, Belarus, Czech Republic, Finland, Ireland, Sweden, Poland, Uruguay, as well as Chinese representatives from the Commerce Ministry, Agriculture Ministry of China, and Provincial and City Authorities were in attendance.

Director of the China Commerce Development Center, Liu Yingxia, welcomed guests to the 19th edition of SIAL China. “The Chinese government is committed to meeting the growing needs of the Chinese people for a better life,” she said. “Continuous attention to food quality, safety, and flavour diversity will surely make China a market full of opportunities for development and innovation. SIAL China will surely provide a more efficient trading platform for domestic and foreign food suppliers and buyers and will also continue to provide ‘China opportunities’.”

SIAL Network DirectorNicolas Trentesaux, encouraged guests to look deeper into the show and explained that SIAL China 2018 will “not only inspire the worldwide community by revealing the latest trends and innovations, it will also be an amazing business platform to enable importers, retailers, and chefs to source new products” from the estimated 200,000 products on display at the largest food innovation exhibition in Asia and the fourth largest food exhibition in the world.
