SEINFELD ACTOR TAKES ON THE COLONEL

Jason Alexander appears as Colonel Sanders in a new KFC ad

Jason Alexander, best known for his role as George Costanza on the long-running sitcom Seinfeld, is the latest in a line of well-known actors to try his hand at playing the role of KFC founder Colonel Harland Sanders. Alexander will appear in ads promoting the chain’s $20 ‘Fill Ups’ range.

“As the son of two working parents, there were plenty of dinnertimes when a bucket of chicken and all the fixins saved the day,” Alexander said. “It’s been fun to combine my personal love for KFC with my sitcom experience into a new take on the role of Colonel Sanders.”

Alexander joins Rob Lowe, Billy Zane and Jim Gaffigan, among others, to have played the iconic character. The chain has even used an unknown actor to play the Colonel to ‘save money’ while promoting its value range.
