RESTAURANT REACHES NEW HEIGHTS

Former Noma chef James Sharman will be hiking to the base camp of Mount Everest this December to build a restaurant. The new restaurant is part of Sharman’s One Star House Party series that sees him hosting dinners in 20 countries over 20 months.

“Since we began travelling from country to country, the food we have fallen in love with the most has been the food created under unique or challenging circumstances,” said Sharman. Not only do Sharman and his team have the challenge of cooking with local ingredients, but will also be battling the weather. Details of the menu are yet to be revealed, but they can confirm it will be an authentic Nepalese menu. Fifteen foodies will take the 14-day trip, but it isn’t just the hike to base camp that could trip you up but the US$1,050 for the meal on top of that.
