RESTAURANT COOKS ENDANGERED SPIDER

A restaurant in Mexico has been shut down after it started selling a taco made with tarantula, rather than beef. However authorities discovered that the tarantula was the Mexican Red Rump tarantula, which is listed as an endangered species.

The taco, which was priced at around NZD$40, which is about 50 times the price of a standard street taco. The restaurant also features other insects and bugs like worms, ant eggs and grasshoppers, all of which are common in Mexican cuisine.
