Wine has been around for millenia, ice cream since the 1600s and the soda float since 1874, so it was only a matter of time before someone put two and two together and created the Red Wine Float. Wine purists may shudder at the though but for those wanting to give this a go, here’s the recipe:
Chocolate sauce, for lining glasses
Raspberry ice cream
1/2 bottle red wine
Line the insides of the glasses with chocolate sauce. Scoop in ice cream and pour red wine over the top. Top off with soda water and serve.
