Tomato prices have decreased 17 percent, hitting their lowest price ever for a June month. Despite the fact that general food prices continue to rise—0.5 percent overall, and 3.4 percent for restaurant meals—there is no better time than now to get your hands on tomatoes.
Stats NZ has also recorded a decrease in yoghurt prices, cheese prices, and butter prices, falling 9.1 percent, 4.3 percent, and 1.9 percent, respectively.
