Prateek Arora has been in the hospitality industry for over six years, at iconic establishments such as Urban Turban and The Sugar Club. However, it was his work behind the bar at Cassia that saw him recognised at the recent Lewisham Awards, winning Outstanding Bartender sponsored by Federal Merchant & Co.
“I worked really hard to be where I am, I am really grateful to be recognized through the industry by such talented people,” he said.
People are the reason Arora loves his job, from colleagues to guests. Keeping the team on the same page can sometimes be a challenge and staying consistent can sometimes prove difficult. However, as the peer-judged award proves, Arora can handle it all.
In the future, Arora wants to travel, meet more people and one day hopes to open his own place.
