PARNELL WELCOMES GREEK RESTAURANT

Renovated from the old Iguaçu building, Gerome is Parnell’s latest culinary offering and promises to bring a taste of the Mediterranean to Auckland.

Head chef James Kenny was trained under Gordon Ramsay, and brings international gastronomic expertise to Auckland’s oldest suburb. The restaurant itself was designed by award-winning designer Paul Izzard, and is dominated by a deep blue theme and dotted whites.

“Aucklanders do not have a high end Modern Greek restaurant or destination,” said Ramiz James, co-owner, noting that it is a significant gap in a saturated hospitality sector. “An extraordinary environment had to be created to fulfil the mood and maximise our guests’ encounter.”
