Papa John’s open 2000th international store

Papa John’s are celebrating a significant milestone with the opening of its 2000th store outside of North America. The latest restaurant opened in Moscow, Russia. Russia currently presents itself as one of the company’s fastest-growing markets with over 200 restaurants currently scattered around the nation.

The first Papa John’s was opened in Mexico City in 1998. Ten years later, in Turkey, Papa John’s celebrated the opening of their 500th restaurant. In 2013, Papa John’s opened its 1000th restaurant. Since 2013, Papa John’s has taken every step towards expansion as possible, doubling the number of their restaurants in just over five years. Papa John’s reach spans 47 countries and territories across the world and is currently looking for franchisees in Brazil, France, Czech Republic, Taiwan and Southeast Asia.
