OLYMPIC FEAST HEADS TO MANAWATU

Hot off the heels of their sold-out Auckland feast, the NZ Culinary team will set up shop for a one night only service in Manawatu this November.

The feast is made up of competition possibilities, trialing techniques and gathering feedback before the team goes on to represent the country. As the team converge in Palmerston North to showcase their skill, they will also be looking to impress with ingenuity in the region known as the food innovation capital of New Zealand.

“We have some amazing chefs in this country working with unique and innovative technitues and fabulous, fresh ingredients. The Culinary Olympics will not only give us the opportunity to compete on the world stage but show the world the talent we have here in New Zealand and to showcase our amazing ingredients,” said Grant Watson, director of global foodservice, Fonterra.

Awapuni Function Centre will play host to the NZChefs Olympic Feast on November 8, with limited tickets priced at $145 a piece, or $1050 for a table of eight.

“The opportunity to take the journey to the ultimate competition destination does not come around very often. Performing under this kind of pressure and at an international level is such an amazing career opportunity for all of us,” said Graham Hawkes, president, NZChefs.
