The team behind popular Palmerston North gastropub Brew Union are hoping to bring a taste of Mexico to the city with their new venture, Libre. The Mexican eatery will be located on Palmerston North’s busy café-filled George Street, that has in the past seen a lot of cafés come and go.
Brew Union was opened in 2017 and took off from the start. At the 2018 Manawatu Hospitality Awards, it won best pub, bartender and chef, and has continued to provide a unique atmosphere for the people of Palmerston North.
Libre is scheduled to open in November and will serve an array of Mexican dishes, and a range of beverages, including Brew Union’s own brews.
