NEW CEO FOR SERVICEIQ

New ServiceIQ Andrew McSweeney

ServiceIQ Board Chair Rick Christie has confirmed the appointment of Andrew McSweeney as the new Chief Executive. ServiceIQ is the industry training organisation (ITO) for the aviation, hospitality, retail, travel, tourism and museums sectors.

“Andrew joins ServiceIQ at a time of continuing strong growth for New Zealand, driven by substantial increases in tourism and immigration, which is creating significant work-force demand in the services sectors,” said Christie. “With this level of expansion, the need for work-based training has never been higher. Andrew’s management experience and leadership capabilities will be well suited to leading our organisation to meet both these current and future service industry workforce growth and development challenges.”

McSweeney, who will take up the role at ServiceIQ at the end of August, is excited to take on the challenge. “The industries ServiceIQ supports play a key role in New Zealand’s future prosperity. A higher skilled and better qualified workforce not only delivers better opportunities for employees, but also delivers better outcomes for businesses, and ultimately New Zealand. ServiceIQ and its staff have a key role to play in achieving this.”

McSweeney’s previous roles have included executive level at AgResearch, PGG Wrightson, ANZ and The National Bank.
