Mosgiel Memorial RSA to close its restaurant and bar

Amidst harsh trading pressures for RSA hospitality operations around the country, the Mosgiel Memorial RSA has announced that it will be closing its restaurant and bar. The move is reflective of higher operating costs and tougher trading conditions that make running these aspects of the club not financially viable.

The closure of the restaurant and bar come just four years after a $1.2 million redevelopment of the Mosgiel RSA complex which looked to provide the venue with a more modern and lively look.

The restaurant will close on May 11, while the bar will operate shorter hours until permanently closing in June. Throughout the following weeks, there will be information evenings and several consultation meetings to shed light on the club’s decision.
