Momofuku group names first CEO

Marguerite Zabar Mariscal has been named as New York-based Momofuku restaurant groups first-ever CEO.

Mariscal has been with Momofuku group since 2011 where she started as a public relations intern. Since then, she has climbed her way up the ladder, with her most recent role being chief of staff and creative director. Mariscal’s new position will put her in charge of overseeing the growth of their 14 locations throughout the United States.

Momofuku was founded in 2004 by chef David Chang with the opening of the iconic Momofuku Noodle Bar in New York City. Since then, Momofuku has gone on to open up restaurants across the United States, in Canada, and Australia.

In addition to their restaurant businesses, Momofuku has expressed interest in consumer packaged goods with the opening of Peach Mart, where customers can buy a variety of packaged snacks and treats.
