Alex Isik and Nigar Ivgen moved to New Zealand over 14 years ago and have worked their way from kitchen hands and dishwashers in restaurants to owning several of their own establishments. Their latest establishment is Miss Istanbul, a Ponsonby hotspot which is an ode to Turkish women. Their menu is made up of traditional Turkish foods and beverages, many of which are popular as street food in Istanbul, and features a beautiful handmade Turkish Delight.
