MCDONALDS NEW BURGERS

McDonald’s US has announced changes have been made to ingredients in its burgers – which now are made without artificial preservatives, no artificial flavours and no added colours. The fast-food chain’s buns and sauces have been reformulated as well. The health-conscious changes will be put in effect across all McDonald’s restaurants in the US.

“[This is] the next major milestone in McDonald’s food journey and another way the company is helping customers feel good about the food they’re enjoying,” said a spokesperson for McDonald’s.

“From switching to 100 percent fresh beef in our quarter-pound burgers to removing artificial preservatives in our Chicken McNuggets, and committing to cage-free eggs by 2025, we have made significant strides in evolving the quality of our food,” said Chris Kempczinski, McDonald’s US president.

This switch in ingredients sees almost two-thirds of McDonald’s burgers containing no artificial preservatives, flavours or added colours from artificial sources.
