Masters of Modern Indian cuisine team up

Two titans in the art of Modern Indian cuisine are teaming up for a two-night event at Sidart this July. India’s most acclaimed and awarded chef, Manish Mehrotra, of Indian Accent Restaurants is visiting Sidart to team up with award-winning chef and restaurateur, Sid Sahrawat.

July 17-18 will play host to six canapés and a six-course tasting menu, along with a glass of Louis Roederer on arrival. This event is part of the Elemental AKL presented by Auckland Tourism and Economic Development as well as featuring during Ponsonby’s Eat Drink Love Ponsonby. Elemental AKL is a month-long festival showcasing all that the Auckland region has to offer throughout July.

Sahrawat and his wife Chand are excited and honoured to have Mehrotra and his team collaborate with the Sidart crew. Sahrawat said, “Chand and I are so proud of Auckland, and we can’t wait to show Manish around our stunning city and introduce him to the many incredible food offerings we have here in Tāmaki Makaurau that makes us such a diverse culinary destination.”

Mehrotra said, “We are excited to present Indian Accent food for the first time in New Zealand and are looking forward to working with Sid and Chand during the pop-up at Sidart. I hope diners will enjoy the food and experience. I am also looking forward to trying local cuisine, exploring the ingredients and learning something from it all.”
