Krispy Kreme celebrates first birthday

Krispy Kreme will celebrate its first birthday in New Zealand on Thursday 28th February, one year on from their biggest ever store opening worldwide. Krispy Kreme has grown during its first year of operation, opening three stores in Manukau, the Auckland Domestic Airport and most recently, Auckland CBD. Customers can now purchase doughnuts via UberEats and at select BP stations throughout the North Island.

Antonio Rivera, New Zealand retail manager, said he was humbled by how big Krispy Kreme’s first year in New Zealand has been. “We have been overwhelmed with the Kiwi response to the brand and are so excited to be spreading more smiles this year and celebrating our first birthday with our customers.”

No stranger to a party, Krispy Kreme celebrated World Chocolate Day and National Doughnut Day in 2018, launching a world-first chocolate glaze doughnut and giving away over 5,000 free doughnuts respectively.

As a special birthday treat, Krispy Kreme will be giving Kiwi customers their first ever offer; purchase one full-priced dozen box of doughnuts in-store at Krispy Kreme on Thursday 28th February and get another dozen box of Original Glazed™ doughnuts for just $1.

Krispy Kreme’s first birthday celebrations will kick off at 4pm on February 28th, with a Dough-not grow up party at the original Manukau store.
