As a heatwave washed along the country, more and more Kiwis turned to UberEats in an effort to satisfy their ice cream craving. Orders for ice cream increased by 26 percent last week
“Kiwis are well known to be big fans of ice cream, which is highlighted by the spike in orders for frozen desserts we saw during last week’s heatwave,” said Emma Foley, NZ lead for UberEats. “We’ve been pleased to help cool people down with ice cream deliveries from their favourite restaurants and eateries.”
UberEats current connects customers with a range of specialised gelato and ice cream outlets, including Ben & Jerry’s, MELT by New Zealand Natural and Gelatiamo in Auckland, The Frogurt Store in Wellington and Rollickin Gelato Cafe in Christchurch.
