KENTUCKY FRIED COCKTAILS

KFC has released a recipe for a trio of cocktails, each one containing KFC gravy as the central ingredient. The Gravy Mary, Finger Lickin’ Sour and Southern Twist are all takes on classic cocktails, although with a savoury twist – joining the ‘stocktail’ trend. KFC has made headlines with a string of eyebrow-raising gimmicks, including bath bombs, lip balm, sunscreen and a surprisingly well-received line of clothing.

“Our fans repeatedly express their love for our gravy, which always sparks ideas within the team,” said Marion Racine, KFC marketing manager. “We know our gravy is good enough to drink, so with stocktails being a real hit at the moment, what better ingredient to take them to the next level?”

“The Kentucky bourbon in The Southern Twist brings mellow, sweet spice notes to stand up against the savory gravy,' said Patrick, the mixologist who features in the advertisements. “The herbal note of parsley on the rim brightens the sip with the brown sugar softening the kick of bourbon and uniting the flavors.” The Finger Lickin' Souris made with gravy, cherry liqueur, mezcal, orange marmalade, lemon juice, salt, pepper, thyme, and egg white, while the Gravy Mary has gravy, vodka, lemon juice, tomato juice, as well as Worcester sauce, Tabasco, and paprika, garnished with popcorn chicken.
