Fifty McDonald’s stores in Miami are going international, offering menu items otherwise found elsewhere in there world. McDonald’s is testing a Flavours from Abroad promotion in South Florida, testing the market viability of international flavours in the domestic market.
The items on the menu are:
- Grand McExtreme Bacon Burger from Spain; A fresh beef quarter pound burger topped with McBacon sauce, Applewood smoked bacon, Gouda cheese and slivered onions, all served on a sesame seed bun.
- BBQ McShaker Fries from Malaysia; fries served with a smoky BBQ seasoning.
- McSpicy Chicken from Hong Kong; a crispy chicken fillet marinated with spicy seasoning, topped with mayonnaise and lettuce.
- Stroopwafel McFlurry from the Netherlands; soft serve ice cream, mixed with caramel waffle cookie pieces and caramel sauce.
“We’re excited for our South Florida customers to have an opportunity to taste the international menu items for a limited time,” said Stefanie Cabrera-Bentancourt, McDonald’s Miami franchise owner. “We look forward to hearing our customers’ feedback on these global-inspired food items.”
