Iconic Queenstown burger restaurant Fergburger has applied to the Queenstown Lakes District Council to open a small bar next door.
The Fergburger Ltd. stable already includes Fergburger, which has operated for almost two decades, as well as Fergbaker (which opened in 2012) and ice-cream store Mrs Ferg.
According to the application, the bar will accommodate just under 40 people (“on stools only”) and will be “a short visit location for 1-3 drinks and some quickly served high quality small plate options”.
Fergburger Ltd. has applied for a liquor licence for the hours of 11pm to 8am which, if granted, would mean that it will have the latest opening hours of any bar in the town. However, the applications states that the hours of operation would likely be 7am to 4am.
