FACTORY OF THE FUTURE

Celebrating its 120th anniversary in style, S.Pellegrino has begun construction on a ‘Factory of the Future’. The new plant will combine innovation, design, and environmental and social sustainability. Designed by Danish architect firm, BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group, S.Pellegrino hope that the new space will allow them to further develop and refine the quality of its produce.

The project will be completed in 2022 and has a range of sustainability-focused features. Some of these include the incorporation of photovoltaic panels, high energy efficiency systems, and water recovery systems for rational consumption of water resources. The project is said to require a total of €90 million in civil works, systems for the production and logistics departments, and the restyling and expansion of the factory.

“The philosophy with which the new structure is created best represents the values of the brand and the commitment of the ‘Made in Italy’ ambassador company: telling an extraordinary and non-relocatable asset like S.Pellegrino mineral water, generating value shared with the communities where we operate, improving the quality of work for our personnel,” said Federico Sarzi Braga, Sanpellegrino group managing director.

Visitors will be welcomed into the new facility with an immersive experience. S.Pellegrino hope that it will encourage more tourism in the Valle Brembana area.
