FACEBOOK’S POP-UP CAFÉS

Facebook is striving to prove its loyalty to its customers, opening several pop-up cafés where consumers can get privacy check-ups. Across the U.K., five cafés will be opening where customers will be offered free drinks if they take part in a ‘privacy check-up’. In these privacy check-ups, customers will be instructed on how to change, and view who has access to what through their Facebook accounts.

Facebook has come under scrutiny in the past, with people accusing them of being irresponsible or apathetic towards their privacy. While this is Facebook encouraging people to take a more pragmatic approach to their own internet privacy, there is still little one can do should their data be targeted.
