EXPO EXPANDS TO SECOND HALL

This year’s Foodservice Australia show is expanding into the adjoining Hordern Pavilion for the first time.

Event director Tim Collett said it is an exciting move that will take the show to a whole new level, with new features and exhibitors making the show even more popular industry buyers.

“People love the fact the show is focused on foodservice but they also want ot see everything happening in the market,” said Collett.

“This expansion will enable us to present more new ideas, more new products and more industry suppliers.”

The Unilever Food Solutions Chef of the Year, Café School and Gluten Free World will remain in the Royal Hall of Industries. The Savour Patissier of the Year, Australia’s Best Pie, Global Pizza Challenge and National Restaurant Conference will be located in the Hordern Pavilion.

Collett believes these features are all industry driven and they give competitors and spectators the chance to network and discover new trends and techniques. Most are free, while others require separate registration.

The expansion also allows for more food, drink and equipment suppliers to be included, he explained. “The first hall was capped at 160 companies and sold out before Christmas. There is now room for another 80 companies and stand bookings have reopened.”

Entry to the show is restricted to people who work in the food or hospitality industry, and is free if you register online before the event. The event runs from 22 May to 24 May 2016.
