EAT UP!

Eating. It’s supposed to be one of life’s real great pleasures. Looking at the widespread influences and appearances of food in popular culture, Tandoh examines everything from scenes of extreme gluttony in films to the symbolism of food and sex. After all those considerations, she’s written Eat Up! to tell us it’s okay to enjoy a microwave pizza. Without diverging into the realms of academia or delving too deep into nutritional science, Tandoh is writing to convince us to enjoy the food we eat. Filled with straight-up real talk, Eat Up provides sympathetic advice to try and protect the reader from food crazes, unnecessary diets, and bad science so that we can fall in love with food again.
