DIGITAL-FOCUSSED REDESIGN

Krispy Kreme has unveiled its first redesigned store with a digital-forward driving influence. The new store, in Concord, North Carolina, features an expanded menu, as well as a range of tech-based improvements. Customers will experience an integrated experience where they will be able to order online for in-store pick-up, as well as an extended drive-through lane and digital menus.

The new store resembles an old-school sweet shop, yet it integrates modern restaurant technology. Other features within the store include a viewing platform from which customers can witness the entirety of the doughnut-making process. Customers will also be able to design their own doughnut—they can choose from five glazes, ten toppings and five different drizzles.

Krispy Kreme plans to roll out 45 more of these new-age stores by 2020.
