A Sydney-based dairy free ice cream manufacturer has won the 2017 Telstra NSW New Business Award. Over The Moo was only established in 2015 but has experienced rapid growth, already supplying Woolworths and other independent supermarkets.
Alexander Houseman, founder of Over the Moo, spoke of the fulfilment he felt while accepting the award.
“I have a vision for Over The Moo’s dairy-free deliciousness on shelves in every single supermarket around the country and beyond,” he said. “We entered because we were keen to see how we measured up against other businesses of the same age and to see where we could be doing better. Being tapped as one of the top businesses in NSW was totally unexpected.”
Houseman himself is lactose intolerant, and started the business in the hunt for a better dairy-free alternative.
