COVID-19 UPDATE – Midday 25 March

A state of national emergency has been declared by the government today.

There are now 205 total confirmed and probable cases in New Zealand with some community transmission in the country.

Most cases are linked to recent overseas travel, however, there are four being treated as community transmission (three in Auckland, one in Wairarapa).

Jacinda Ardern has urged people who don't have the virus, to act like they do. That means staying in isolation and not meeting with others.
