Clooney to host private dining collaboration event

Clooney will host an exclusive fine dining experience featuring Nobu Lee, Clooney’s head chef, and Nelly Robinson, from Sydney institution nel. The event, which will seat just 20 guests, will be an intimate celebration of culinary masterclass and will take place on July 6, 2019.

The chefs will be hosting guests within Clooney’s Belle Époque private dining room that is fitted out with a custom-designed open plan Gaggenau kitchen. The dinner will be interactive, and guests will behold Nelly and Nobu cooking in front of their eyes. The collaboration will consist of four canapés and a seven-course tasting menu.

Both Nelly and Nobu are known for their creative menus, so guests are told to expect the unexpected. Nelly said, “I’m super excited to bring nel. to Auckland. It’s my second home. To top it off, I get to work with one of the best restaurants in the business in New Zealand at Clooney and to use amazing New Zealand produce. I’m very excited to showcase nel. Bring on July 6.”

Tony Stewart, Clooney’s owner and manager, said that the latest collaboration dovetails perfectly with looney’s focus on creating dishes that use fresh New Zealand produce in ways that embody progression and purpose.

Tickets will cost $220 per person and will include a glass of Perrier-Jouët champagne on arrival. Wine pairing is also available. To purchase tickets, please visit Clooney’s website or email information@clooney.co.nz.
