Clearview Estate Winery expands sales force

An increase in demand for its wines has seen Hawke’s Bay’s Clearview Estate expand its sales team with the appointment of new Northern Regions Account Manager, Michelle Trevarton, based in Auckland.

Trevarton will be responsible for getting Clearview Estate wine into restaurants, bars and wine stores and into the glasses of Auckland, Northland and Waikato wine drinkers. She joins long-standing account manager Lisa Clarke, who mirrors the sales role in the lower North Island and with the support of sales staff based at the Te Awanga winery.

Trevarton comes to Clearview Estate from a career in retail sales management. While wine may be new to her, customer service and relationship building is familiar territory.

“This role was an opportunity to branch out and develop myself into a completely new career,” she said. “It’s an exciting industry and I’m really enjoying learning about wine. Spending time with the team in Hawke’s Bay has given me insight into the process, from viticulture, winemaking and complexities of the wine business. I’m enjoying building relationships with restaurants, wine stores, grocery and other suppliers, and holding wine club events and organising degustation dinners.”

Clarke said that Trevarton has the right combination of drive and personality to make Clearview Estate the wine on everyone’s table.

“She has real drive and is a go-getter. We are so pleased she accepted the challenge and is already proving herself to be an asset to both Clearview Estate and the broader hospitality industry.”

Clearview Estate’s presence in the Auckland market is increasing, with its popular Black Reef Blush spearheading the growth for the winery as a whole.
