A robotic chef at the GITEX show in Dubai has been billed as the only robot to be able to prepare a complete meal without human interaction. The three-armed robot ishas a list of meals programmed into it, which it can make professionally and with high accuracy. The robot can prepare the ingredients, cook them, and then present the final product to the customer.
Similarly, another robot at the same exhibition could prepare guests’ coffees in front of their eyes. Customers simply choose the coffee they want, and the machine will do the rest.
“A robot today can make a full meal, read a book, help the visually impaired walk, and provide other services,” said Majid Al Mazloum, the senior director of Centre of Digital Innovation, and a member of the TRA Innovation Team. “Through these technology projects, we have provided a foresight of how the near future will look like, and the change that AI, 5G and IoT technologies can make in our daily lives.”
