CANCER SURVIVOR ASKED TO COVER FACE

A cancer survivor from South Carolina was offended the owner of the restaurant he was dining at asked him to cover his face before continuing with his meal. A regular at the Forks Pit Stop restaurant, Kirby Evans said he was caught off-guard this time.

“I felt somebody reach up and grab me like this and jerk me in her office. It hurt deep inside. I’ve never been treated like that. Never,” said Evans.

Evans, who lost his nose and an eye to cancer, said an employee then told him if he wished to continue to eat at the establishment, he would have to cover his scars.

His daughter, Brandy took to Facebook to share her disappointment surrounding the incident. Over 8,000 people have now shared her post. Evans said he is appreciative of how supportive his community has been.

“I’m telling you what, I didn’t know there were that many people that cared, but there are. They’re out there everywhere.”
