BOLLINGER AND 007

James Bond and bubbly fans rejoice! Champagne Bollinger has launched two new wines in celebration of its 40-year partnership with James Bond.

As a tribute to the 1979 film where the champagne makes its first appearance, Bollinger has released a limited-edition luxury Moonraker magnum encased in an Eric Berthes-designed box. The packaging was inspired by the original space shuttle featured in the 007 film and opens to reveal a Saint Louis crystal ice bucket and a magnum of Bollinger 2007.

The second wine is the Bollinger 007 Limited Edition Millésimé 2011. It marks the release of the upcoming 007 movie, No Time To Die. The bottle features the number 25, as a tribute to the 25th film in the franchise and is made using titles from the previous films. The same titles are etched onto the glass on the front of the display box. The 2011 vintage features Pinot Noir sourced exclusively from the Bollinger brewing house of Aÿ. Champagne expert Richard Juhlin reports of a deep ripe aroma of Gravenstein apples, backed by fresh wooden notes. He recommends waiting about ten years for the wine to reach its peak for the fruit flavours to integrate with the barrel notes.

Both wines are limited-edition with the Moonraker magnum only having 407 copies.
