BLOCKBUSTER VENTURES INTO BEER

The last Blockbuster store has paired up with a craft brewery to create a beer marking the survival of the video and DVD rental store.

The Blockbuster store in Bend, Oregon, has become something of a cult destination, with thousands of people making the pilgrimage to the small town of 90,000 to visit the store. It has now collaborated with 10 Barrel Brewing Co. to debut a beer called ‘The Last Blockbuster’, which has been designed to reference all the tastes associated with weekend movie rental.

The beers come with Milk Duds and popcorn, and is said to have caramel tones that work well with the sweets. It has red licorice notes, and supposedly tastes “as if it has been drunk through a Twizzler.”

The beer is only available at the six 10 Barrell pub locations in Oregon.
