After a sold-out crowd in its inaugural year, Beers at the Basin is set to return to Wellington’s iconic cricket venue on the first day of December.
Wellington’s largest summer beer event will see breweries from around New Zealand showcase over 100 different beers and ciders, including special releases crafted for the day. Nearly 30 breweries will be joined by six wineries and 20 food trucks.
“It’s always a challenge, first year round with events like this,” said event director Damien Hochberg. “Either it will work, or it won’t. We’re stoked that it was so well received last year and have worked hard to iron out some kinks to make this year even better.”
Capacity has been increased due to demand and other improvements have been focussed on the attendee experience. More seating has been added, as well as extra food and beverage providers.
