“Ill-gotten gains totaling around $34million are the subject of a civil action against companies associated with a high profile Auckland restaurant chain that has not yet been named. There is an attempt to recover the property in the High Court shortly. The civil proceedings are being brought by the Police’s northern asset recovery unit but no detail has yet emerged.
