A GOLDEN SUMMER OF CHARDONNAY

Missions Estate 2017 Chardonnay

The New World Wine Awards has recognised another Chardonnay – Mission Estate’s 2017 bottle. The NWWA is renowned for combining expert judging with recognition of consumer demand – so every one of the 1,250 bottles entered cost less that $25.

This makes the Gold Medal-winning Mission Estate 2017 Chardonnay a great choice for restaurants and cafés looking to provide an affordable table wine this summer, when customers look forward to long lunches and dinners in the sun. With its an oaky flavour and notes of lemon and white stone fruit, the wine pairs beautifully with white meats, fish, salads, and antipasto platters – summer staples.

“Our team at Mission Estate can all agree that the Estate Chardonnay is something to be proud of,” said Mission Estate’s winemaker, Paul Mooney. “We were thrilled when it received a prestigious Gold medal at the New World Wine Awards – a real testament to our winemaking and viticulture team.”

Of the more than a thousand entries, the NNWA awarded medals to 178 wines from New Zealand and overseas. The Top 50 wines will be available in 135 New World stores across the country.

The Mission Estate 2017 Chardonnay is available from New World stores nationwide.
