2D, OR NOT 2D?

A new café in Tokyo is adding a new dimension to their dining experience through quirky design. Appropriately named 2D Café, the new bubble tea hotspot is designed to look like an illustration. The décor is almost entirely monochrome, with the white floors and walls adding to the effect.

With heavy black lines making up most of the designs around the space, the eye is tricked into believing that you’ve somehow emerged in a two-dimensional world.

While the design and fit-out are unique, the menu is rather standard, comprising of a lineup of teas, coffees, juices, desserts and of course, bubble teas.
