Sacred Hill brings a rich pinot noir with a ruby-red hue and an incredible array of aromas. Both vibrant and concentrated, this wine contains notes of black cherries, vanilla, and strawberry conserve, with undertones of wild herbs and forest floor. A classic Marlborough pinot noir, this wine showcases the richness and supple, velvety tannins, accurately representing the region.
“Fortunately, the 2018 vintage delivered impeccable fruit which we harvested at their absolute best,” said Kel Dixon, winemaker. “This enabled us to create an exceptional pinot noir that is a true reflection of the vineyard. This is a beautiful example of a Marlborough pinot noir.” The vibrant fruit profile was created with Marlborough’s long and hot summer. It was fermented in small batches and aged for ten months in French oak barrels, 25 percent new, and lightly fined and filtered before bottling.
